Healthy Homemade Snickers Bars
Ingredients
Base Layer:
- 1¼ cups almond flour
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
Date Caramel:
- 6 soft Medjool dates pitted and torn
- ¼ cup peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons hot water
Chocolate Drizzle:
- ¼ cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon melted coconut oil
Topping:
- ⅔ cup roasted peanuts
- Flaky sea salt
Instructions
Prepare the Base:
- Line an 8×4-inch loaf pan with parchment paper. In a bowl, mix almond flour, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and salt. Press the mixture into the pan and freeze while you make the caramel.
Create the Date Caramel:
- In a food processor, blend dates, peanut butter, coconut oil, maple syrup, and 1 tablespoon of water. Add more water as needed to make a thick, smooth paste. Spread it over the frozen base in the pan and return to the freezer.
Make the Chocolate Drizzle:
- Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave. Drizzle it over the bars.
Add the Toppings:
- Take the pan from the freezer, top the bars with roasted peanuts, press them in, and drizzle with chocolate. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top. Freeze until firm for at least 1 hour.
